Montalbano Experience: the program
This is not a simple tour of eastern Sicily, but wants to be a full-immersion in Montalbano’s places, almost entirely shot here, but with an important historical / cultural insight thanks to the presence of an authorized Italian and English guide.

Tour of Montalbano: Day 1
Arrival at Comiso or Catania airport and transfer with private minivan to Punta Secca, accommodation in the private rooms of the Montalbano house.
Free dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Modica, Ispica, Sampieri, Donnalucata.
Breakfast on the terrace and departure for Modica (“Tocco d’artista”, house of Dr. Pasquano “The Terracotta Dog”).
Visit of the Duomo of San Giorgio. Continue for Ispica (“The Moon of Paper”), visit the Palazzo Bruno di Belmonte, the Church of San Bartolomeo, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Loggiato.
Typical lunch along the way.
At the stop at sunset at Pisciotto, “La Mannara” on Sampieri beach and a couple of photos on the seafront of Donnalucata (“Marinella”).
Return home, free dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Scicli, Donnafugata Castle, Ragusa Ibla
Breakfast and departure for the visit of Scicli (“The Terracotta Dog”), walk in one of the most beautiful streets of Sicily, the Mormino Penna Street, rich in monuments of precious Baroque style and for this declared Unesco Heritage.
Stop at the City Hall (Vigata’s police station in the Fiction).
Visit to the Castle of Donnafugata (the residence of Mafia’s boss Sinagra).
Typical lunch in front of the Castle and visit of Ragusa Ibla (the center of Vigata in fiction, “The voice of the violin”), also a UNESCO heritage for late-Baroque masterpieces.
Visit the Duomo di San Giorgio with the charming staircase, the Church of San Bartolomeo and Santa Maria delle Scale.
Return home, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Punta secca – transfer.
Breakfast, last photos in the most impressive location of the Montalbano tour, which is, the house with the beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, imagining the beautiful swimmers that the Commissioner used to do right in the clear waters of that stretch of coastline.
Transfer to the airport.
