Arrival at Catania airtport, transfer to the hotel between Catania and Taormina area. In the afternoon visit of Catania: Palazzo Biscari, Piazza Duomo with the Elephant Fountain as symbol of the town. The spare is dominated of the wonderful Cathedral, dedicated to Sant’Agata (the patron of this town). Walk trhough Via Crociferi, one of the most beautiful roads in Sicily for the concentration of Churches and noble Palaces. Visit to the Benedettini Monastery. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
2nd day:Militello Val di Catania – Caltagirone - Ragusa
Breakfast and departure to Militello Val di Catania, keeper of real preciousness. A garden of ‘600 monuments adorning Iblei mountains and Catania plain. Continuation to Caltagirone, famous for its ceramic tradition and baroque token. Lunch in a typical restaurant and visit. Arrival at Ragusa, dinner and overnight at hotel.
3rd day:Ragusa – Scicli - Ragusa
Breakfast at hotel and visit of Ragusa, that keeps the town-planning structure of the last ‘800: visit of the Cathedral. Down to Ragusa Ibla to visit the S.Giorgio Cathedral, considered among the 100 most beautiful churches in Italy, thanks to its suggestive and diverging position as regards the line of the square. La Rocca Palace, Donnafugata Palace. Lunch at hotel and continuation with Scicli, where the Palaces and the Churches in Via Mormino Penna are expression of the best baroque style in Sicily. Back to the hotel. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
4th day: Modica – Vizzini - Ragusa
Breakfast and visit of Modica, masterpiece of hyblean baroque: Saint George’s church with its 250 steps, Polara Palace and Napoletano Palace. Lunch at hotel at continuation for Vizzini, to visit the place that had inspired G.Verga in “
5th day: Palazzolo Acreide – Noto - Siracusa
Breakfast and departure to Palazzolo Acreide, characterized by important Palaces of ‘700 cent. Lunch in a typical restaurant and arrival at Noto: art town full of charm which gained the appellative of “the stone garden”. Arrival at the hotel in Siracusa, dinner and overnight.
6th day: Siracusa
Breakfast and visit of Siracusa, rebuilt with baroque monuments after the hearthbreak in 1693. Full-board at the hotel.
7th day:Acireale – Catania
Breakfast and departure to Acireale to visit the Cathedral, built between 1500 and 1600, and San Sebastian’s Church. Lunch in a restaurant and transfer to Catania airport.
